Simon Anholt

The author of the concept of the national brand of countries

Simon Anholt coined the term "nation brand" in 1998, has advised over 60 countries on this topic, and published the Anholt Nation Brands Index. His 2014 TED talk, with over 12 million views, is the most viewed TED talk in the "Government" category.

Anholt is the Executive Chairman of the consulting firm Anholt & Co. which advises governments on strategic planning, national image measurement, and management.

Zinc Network is a behaviour change and impact
agency that focuses on promoting information integrity and good governance.

 

Louis Brooke has led projects that grow independent media and help them reach new audiences, counter disinformation through campaigns, and build strategic communications units for governments facing hybrid warfare.

Will Roberts

Strategist at Zinc Network

For the last five years, Will's work has focused on
Ukraine. He was involved in designing communications campaigns on topics such as youth career development,
corruption and national identity.

 

Since the full-scale invasion, Will's focus has turned to Ukraine's international communications. That includes workshopping, researching, and developing messaging strategies aimed at Ukraine's partners.

With over ten years of professional experience in both public and international sectors, Maria has expertise in global PR and communications, public administration, and nation branding. 

Over the last three years, she has set up an official digital ecosystem of Ukraine Ukraine.ua that has become the powerful digital voice of Ukraine in the world reaching unprecedented global audiences of 1 billion people during the first year of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, developed the Public Diplomacy Strategy of Ukraine, and launched a range of successful country promotion campaigns with global outreach of more than 230 million people.

Konrad Jagodzinski

Director of Place Branding at Brand Finance

Konrad Jagodzinski leads Brand Finance's place branding and soft power practice, directs consulting projects and creates the annual Global Soft Power Index and Nation Brands studies. He has advised a variety of clients in the fields of place branding and public diplomacy, such as New Zealand Story, the Australian Trade and Investment Commission and Finland's Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
 

Before moving on to grow the place branding practice, Konrad was the Communications Director of Brand Finance and Managing Director of Brand Finance's PR agency – Brand Dialogue for 5 years. 

Kateryna Hrechko

CEO Techosystem

Kateryna Hrechko was responsible for international relations and communications at UkraineInvest and had the position of Operations Director at Ukraine House Davos in 2022. Finalist in the ASPEN Institute Business and Society Program.

Today, Kateryna is the CEO of Techosystem, a civic union of players in the Ukrainian tech ecosystem with a focus on product companies. Its goal is to showcase the potential of the Ukrainian tech industry in the world. The NGO aims to unite all market players to foster more favorable business conditions in Ukraine and promote the ecosystem as an investment direction.

Valentyn Panyuta

Valentyn Panyuta leads the creative team that has been developing such national brands as Diya, Rozetka, Megogo, Bodo, ConcertUA, Kyiv Zoo and many others for many years as part of Fedoriv Agency. After the full-scale invasion, the team changed its specialisation and launched United24Media, one of the largest English-language media outlets about Ukraine.

For more than five years, Maria has been engaged in communications and content creation for non-profit organisations in the areas of national brand development, cultural diplomacy, charity, and education. 

At BRAND UKRAINE, Maria leads content and social media projects and coordinates the Ukraine.ua digital ecosystem.

Lesya Bidochko

deputy head of the Detector Media Research Center

Lesya Bidochko is the deputy head of the Detector Media Research Center, a researcher at New Europe College, Bucharest, and a senior lecturer at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy National University.  

She has extensive research experience in analyzing Russian propaganda strategies and studies the spread of Russian narratives in various regions worldwide.

Oleksiy Pivtorak

Deputy head of the Detector Media Research Center

Oleksiy's interests include research into political processes and communications. Previously, he worked as a journalist at the NGO "Center for Joint Actions", an analyst at the "Communication of Europe in Ukraine" project, a political finance analyst at the CHESNO movement, and a fact-checker at the BezBrehni project.

Head of Marketing and Communications Department at the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine

Alina Tornaghi has over eight years of experience in digital marketing, four of which have been building humane communications for the state. In addition to Diia and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Alina has worked with Ze! Team, Kyivstar, Fedoriv Hub, Ukrzoloto, and Pepsico.
